Produced by legendary producers Pete Rock, DITC’s Buckwild, LES, D.R. Interval in addition to AZ himself, AZ was capable of land the deal for this album strictly off of the basic verse he spits on the third monitor on the long-lasting Illmatic album.
Tracks sucks because the Pete Rock propelled “Reasonably Distinctive”, the dreamy “Sugar Hill”, which options then-unknown songbird Miss Jones and the road fueled “Mo Cash, Mo Homicide, Mo Homocide” gave this album a verbal selection that was not often heard, particularly from an emcee who was solely identified on the time for a visitor look.
A particular salute to AZ for holding it down for dolo for a whole quarter of a century, even managing to orchestrate a 15 12 months anniversary of the album in 2010 on his personal Quiet Cash imprint, that includes manufacturing from the likes of Statik Selektah and Fame of M.O.P.
