Group ROC, Roc Nation’s social justice division, has introduced the launch of Corruption Uncovered, a real crime podcast spotlighting systemic failures and misconduct within the Kansas Metropolis, Kansas prison justice system. The primary episode of the weekly collection will debut on Dec. 6 throughout all podcast platforms.
The collection will delve into allegations of corruption inside the Kansas Metropolis Police Division (KCKPD), specializing in the trial of former detective Roger Golubski. Golubski faces federal prices for abusing his place to extort and sexually assault Black girls and youngsters. The podcast will look at his trial and its implications inside a bigger investigation of the KCKPD’s actions and their impression on the neighborhood.
“There’s a want for highly effective and complete storytelling within the prison justice sector in order that the voices of those that have been silenced are heard,” Group ROC Managing Director Dania Diaz stated. “Our hope is for Corruption Uncovered to not solely obtain that goal, but in addition to function an investigative platform that can expose misconduct, demand accountability and drive change from the folks and programs which are responsibility sure to guard its residents and neighborhood.”
Hosted by journalist Josie Duffy Rice, Corruption Uncovered will characteristic survivor accounts, authorized commentary, and views from activists and neighborhood members.
