Prince Jackson marked a significant milestone on Tuesday (August 2) by asserting his engagement to longtime girlfriend Molly Schirmang with a touching tribute to his late father, Michael Jackson.
The 27-year-old shared the information on Instagram with a photograph slideshow capturing eight years of reminiscences — from holidays to household gatherings — all set to the King of Pop’s 1987 ballad “I Simply Can’t Cease Loving You.” The tune selection wasn’t random. It was a transparent nod to his father’s affect and presence in his life.
“8 years down [eternity] to go,” Prince wrote within the caption. “Molly and I’ve spent a number of time collectively and made unbelievable reminiscences. We’ve traveled the world, graduated and grown a lot collectively. I’m excited for this subsequent chapter in our lives as we proceed to develop and make nice reminiscences. I really like you babs.”
The couple met whereas attending Loyola Marymount College in Los Angeles and have been collectively since round 2017.
Their relationship has remained largely non-public, although Prince has sometimes shared glimpses of their life collectively on social media.
Among the many photos within the engagement put up was a candy shot of the couple with Prince’s grandmother, Katherine Jackson, who raised him and his siblings after Michael Jackson’s demise in 2009.
Prince, born Prince Michael Jackson Jr. in February 1997, is the eldest of Michael’s three kids.
