Jadakiss Reveals Secret To The LOX’s Long-Running Brotherhood

Jadakiss has revealed how The LOX have managed to stay close as brothers for nearly three decades.

On Monday (September 25), Kiss took to post a picture of himself, Styles P, and Sheek Louch huddled together with their heads bowed and praying.

“And they ask us how we manage to stay together for this many years [thinking face emoji],” Jadakiss said of his group members.

The photo was taken at The LOX’s show at NYC’s Irving Plaza on Sunday to celebrate the 25th anniversary of their first album, Money, Power & Respect.

At their performance, they performed a slew of their classic records including “Fuck You,” and “We Gonna Make It,” to name a few.

HipHopDX spoke to the legendary New York group back in 2020 about their staying power in such an unforgiving industry.

“As far as this trio goes, I feel like we’re special because we managed to stand the test of time,” Styles P said at the time. “Young people fuck with us, our peer groups fuck with us, the elders fuck with us, and we fuck with the elders, our peer group, and the youngins.”

The LOX also spoke about how they’ve been able to keep their issues in house over the years.

“We argue and shit like I’m pretty sure muthafuckas been mad at me,” Sheek Louch said. “But y’all ain’t going to know about it and shit like that and vice versa. That’s just how it goes. I don’t ever understand with this new world, fucking Instagram and shit. I’m really not for like you putting all your shit on there, telling muthafuckas that don’t know you. Fuck that.”

“They ain’t take the sense of the word brotherhood together,” Styles P explained. “They don’t really understand it. If one of them two are winning, I’m winning. If one of them is out there, they doing what they got to do, and they winning, that means I’m winning. That means it’s beyond family and that means that we all winning. People often look at a group and think it’s supposed to be based off of what rap is. I could’ve never been famous, or never been known, if them two brothers didn’t accept me.”

“A lot of these groups was put together at the label,” Jadakiss replied.

“Let’s give a big shout out to De La Soul and M.O.P. I never seen them break up,” Styles P added. “If they did, I don’t know about it. I think we are just a group that kind of puts it in people’s faces. But those are two other solid groups that stuck with each other. So let’s give them they flowers while we supposed to.”
