Man Philippe, a frontrunner of a revolt in Haiti and a convicted drug trafficker, was deported from the USA to his homeland this week. Philippe is only one of hundreds deported to the troubled nation since President Joe Biden was sworn into workplace again in 2021.
The Miami Herald studies that Man Philippe, 55, was deported on Thursday (November 30) from Alexandria, La. together with over a dozen different people. Philippe was a former commander within the Haitian police drive who led an armed revolt in 2004 to overthrow President Jean Bertrand Aristide. From there, Philippe obtained concerned in a scheme with Colombian cocaine traffickers, helping in a money-laundering operation for the group.
In 2017, after dodging seize by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Philippe was sentenced to 9 years in jail for his function within the scheme. Philippe pleaded responsible to the costs however claimed innocence.
