Drake’s authorized battle with Common Music Group (UMG) over a controversial diss monitor is being delayed after the wildfires in Los Angeles induced a delay within the report label’s protection.



UMG, the defendant within the high-profile lawsuit filed by the Canadian rap star, has requested a 34-day extension to answer the claims, citing the impression of the pure catastrophe on its executives and authorized group.

UMG’s lawyer, Nicholas P. Crowell, submitted a proper request to the courtroom, explaining the pressing want for extra time.

Drake’s lawsuit accuses UMG of defamation and harassment tied to Kendrick Lamar’s track “Not Like Us.”



The rapper alleges that UMG permitted and promoted the monitor, which he claims falsely portrays him as a pedophile.
