Beloved actor John Amos died this previous summer time, his household introduced on Tuesday (October 1). Amos handed away from pure causes on August 21. He was 84.

Amos was greatest recognized for his roles in Coming to America, Good Occasions and Roots. He performed Cleo McDowell in Coming to America and its sequel. He starred as James Evans Jr. in Good Occasions and the grownup model of Kunta Kinte in Roots. Amos scored an Emmy nomination for his portrayal of Kunta Kinte.
