Large Boi is mourning the devastating lack of his uncle after a street rage confrontation turned lethal on a busy Atlanta road final month.
Remoin Thomas Patton Sr., 66, was shot and killed on June 16 whereas attempting to make a flip close to Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard NW and Rock Avenue, in accordance with the Atlanta Police Division.
The altercation escalated when Patton exchanged phrases with one other driver and was shot within the again. His car then crashed right into a vacant residence.
The person accused of pulling the set off, 18-year-old Jabyrion Crumbley, turned himself in on July 2. He faces prices of homicide, aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.
His alleged confederate, 32-year-old Janisha Crumbley, was arrested on June 20 for hindering the apprehension of a fugitive.
Patton’s nephew, Large Boi, one-half of the legendary Hip-Hop duo Outkast, issued a heartfelt assertion following the tragedy.
“All people who is aware of Uncle Moonie coronary heart aches,” he informed WSB-TV. “He wasn’t simply ‘My’ Uncle, he was Unk to all that met him. A second of rage has in completely pierced the center of my household without end. Could Uncle Moonie’s soul relaxation in peace.”
Police stated the incident started as a visitors dispute and rapidly escalated into violence.
After being shot, Patton misplaced management of his car and crashed into a close-by residence. Nobody inside the house was injured.
The Atlanta Police Division launched an investigation instantly after the taking pictures. Surveillance footage and witness accounts helped establish the suspects.
Jabyrion Crumbley stays in custody as of July 3.
His subsequent court docket look has not but been scheduled.
